‘Seussical’ set this weekend in Ovid

OVID — The Between the Lakes Community Service Players will present “Seussical the Musical,” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday at the South Seneca High School auditorium, on Main Street (Route 96A).

Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students and Senior Citizens, and all proceeds will benefit the Elizabeth Cady Stanton Children’s Center in Willard.

The Players was formed last year to bring quality summer musical theatre to the area while also raising funds for an important organization or cause. Last year’s production raised $5,000 for the restoration efforts of the Friends of the Three Bears in Ovid.

“Seussical” combines Dr. Seuss’ classic tales in new and interesting ways and is simply a fun show with great music and a wonderful message.

The Cady Stanton Children's Center is one of the HWS sites for Orientation and occasionally Day of Service. It is the only licensed day care center in southern Seneca County.

Tickets may be reserved by e-mailing Ave Bauder (bauder@hws.edu) by 4 p.m. Thursday for that night's show or by 4 p.m. Friday for the rest of the weekend. Tickets will be held at the ticket table and should be picked up by 15 minutes before the curtain time.

Theater-goers are also encouraged to buy tickets for the Dr. Seuss basket, which includes gifts from The College Store, and again, all proceeds go directly to ECSCC.
