‘The Echomen’ plan benefit concert

The Echomen, a Geneva rock band that played during the late 1960s, will reunite for a benefit concert at 7 p.m. Aug. 13 at the Sons of Italy pavilion on Prospect Avenue.

The band is comprised of Genevans Don Damick, Jim Richmond and Gary Ventura, and former residents Steve Cocola and Jim Harrison, who will be in town for the Geneva High School Class of 1970 reunion.

The Echomen will perform with another popular local band from that era, The Society; admission is $5 with all proceeds will go to Camp Good Days and Special Times.

Parking is free, refreshments will be available, and lawn chairs are recommended, rain or shine.
