A terrific train ride — with fall foliage displayed in all its glory — will leave Geneva at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15.
Riders can view the back roads and fields from Geneva to Waterloo, continue on to Seneca Falls and thrill to the beautiful crossing of Cayuga Lake.
The train will stop at the Cayuga Train Station on the East side of Cayuga Lake for a layover and some fun before returning to Geneva. The entire trip takes about two hours.
Snacks, beverages, and gift items will be available on the train; no smoking or alcohol allowed.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under; those under 2 and sitting on a lap are free. All proceeds will benefit Geneva's First United Methodist Church.
Departure will be from the Finger Lakes Scenic Railway yard on North Street; tickets should be purchased in advance and are available from Don at the Nationwide Insurance office, 745 Pre-Emption Road, phone (315) 789-3753; Nancy at the church office, 340 Main St., (315) 789-6550; Trisha at the office of J.
