Shelley ’69 Fights for Environment and Fishermen

Peter Shelley, a member of the Hobart Class of 1969, was featured in two articles in the Boston Globe. The first, from the Oct. 26 issue, was titled “A Once Great Industry on the Brink,” and the second, from the Oct. 28 issue, was titled “Some Look For Hope Beyond Courtroom”. Both dealt with the New England fishing industry and the Conservation Law Foundation, specifically issues of overfishing, fishermen and their livelihood, and the legal battles for the preservation of Georges Banks.
