For the fifth time, the Geneva Theatre Guild will perform at the Theatre Association of New York State Theatre Festival.
The Guild will present the award-winning “Forever Plaid,” at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at Cayuga Community College in Auburn.
This production was initially staged in a dinner-theatre setting in March 2005 at the Belhurst Castle in March, and received three TANYS merit awards. for Excellence in Directing and Choreography for Pam Rapoza, and Excellence in Acting and Vocal Performance awards for
Charles King and R.J. Rapoza.
The Guild also staged the musical comedy as a fund-raiser for the Phelps Community Center on Sept. 16 and 17, when it was readjudicated and awarded two merit awards: Excellence in Direction and Choreography to Pam Rapoza and Excellence in Ensemble Work to R.J. Rapoza, Charles King, Todd Horton, Randy Hample, Annie Bachman and Oscar Yuan. She also recommended the musical for a Festival invitation.
All performance sessions at the three-day State Theatre Festival are open to the public; tickets will be available at the door.
