Geneva Historical Society’s Annual Wassail Bowl and Sale

The Women’s Council of the Geneva Historical Society will present the 37th annual Wassail Bowl and Sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at The Presbyterian Church in Geneva, 24 Park Place.

Sale items will include fresh wreaths and greens, kissing balls, table decorations, tree ornaments, handcrafted items, baked goods, and attic treasures. The Society will sell its 2006 Calendar and other items from its gift shop. Wassail, a traditional spiced cider, will be available for tasting.

The Council is also sponsoring a Wassail Bowl raffle. This year's prizes include a framed watercolor by local artist Marge Emerman, a $50 gift certificate from Harvest Hill, a Tiffany-style lamp donated by Lynch Furniture, and a “Winter Weekend” at Geneva-on-the-Lake.

Raffle tickets are $1 each or 12 tickets for $10 and are available at the museum, 543 S. Main St., or at the sale.

In addition, a custom-made bear by Babette McCusker will be raffled for $1 per chance; tickets available only that day. Admission is free. For details, call (315) 789-5151.
