Tickets for The Glenn Miller Orchestra, which will play in concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 30 at the Smith Opera House in downtown Geneva, will go on sale at noon Tuesday, Jan. 10.
Tickets are $15 for general admission and $7 for senior citizens age 62 and older.
Previous Big Band performances — the Artie Shaw Orchestra in 2005 and the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra in 2004 — were sold out, said Kevin Schoonover, executive director of the Opera House. “The Glenn Miller Orchestra is the most popular of all time and our most requested.”
The present Glenn Miller Orchestra was formed in 1956 and has been touring consistently since, playing an average of 300 live dates each year, all around the world. Trombonist Larry O'Brien is the orchestra's musical director.
Tickets are available at the box office on Seneca Street; for details, visit www.thesmith.org.
