“How to Keep Your Kidneys Going Strong,” a class in disease management sponsored by the National Kidney Foundation, will be offered at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24 at The Presbyterian Church in Geneva.
This class is intended for people with kidney disease and their families. It offers basic information about kidney disease — causes, symptoms and tests — along with tools to reduce risk factors and prevent or slow the progression of kidney disease.
This is the first time this class is being offered in the Geneva area, and it is a follow-up to the the free Kidney Health Screening in November. People who attended that screening are encouraged to attend this class.
A $5 fee will be collected to cover the cost of registration materials; Blue Cross/Blue Shield members should take their membership cards.
Registration is requested by calling the National Kidney Foundation at (800) 724-9421 or or e-mailing email@example.com.
