Crisis service plans advocate training

The Rape and Abuse Crisis Service of the Finger Lakes will hold Spring Volunteer Advocate training in 12 sessions on Thursdays, starting March 30.

Those who complete the initial 32 hours of training will become state-certified Rape Crisis Counselors, will assist with hotline coverage, and will be provided with an additional 10 hours training during the following year.

The agency serves victims or rape, child sexual abuse and domestic violence in Ontario, Seneca and Yates counties.

For a volunteer application, call Jill at (315) 536-9654 or Virginia at (315) 781-1093.
