The Geneva Historical Society and First Choice Travel are offering a six-day cruise to Bermuda on the Carnival cruise ship Legend, April 19-25 of 2007.
An informational meeting for those interested in considering the trip will begin at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, in the parish hall of Trinity Episcopal Church, 528 S. Main St.; those planning to attend are asked to call the museum office at (315) 789-5151.
Beginning at $899 per person, the trip will include bus transportation to New York City, from which the cruise will depart, six nights and seven days cruising, all taxes and port charges, and pre- and post-cruise sightseeing in New York City.
Each ticket includes a $40 tax-deductible donation to the Geneva Historical Society; Carnival Cruise Lines will also donate a portion of the proceeds to the Society.
The ship will dock at King’s Wharf, Bermuda, a 19th-century British fort featuring the Bermuda Maritime Museum, an Arts Centre, and Craft Market. The port also offers sports, restaurants, and shopping.
En route to Newport, Rhode Island, passengers will be able to spend time in the ship's casino, Las Vegas-style shows, theme bars, four swimming pools and a water slide. A day will also be spent docked in Newport, with its many museums and historic homes.
