During winter break, a group of students will get a one-of-a-kind look at the world of banking and investment and connect with the alums, parents and friends of the Colleges who are industry leaders in the financial hub of Boston, Mass.
The annual Boston Finance Experience offers students the opportunity to hear from executives, bankers, and insurance and human resources professionals from leading companies including: Bank of America, CIBC Private Wealth Management, Citizens Bank, Fidelity, MassChallange, Putnam Investments and State Street. With assistance from HWS Trustee Warren Zola ’89, P’18, the Salisbury Center for Career, Professional and Experiential Education facilitates the two-day event.
Between Thursday, Jan. 16 and Friday, Jan. 17, students will be accompanied by HWS President Joyce P. Jacobsen, Vice President for Advancement Bob O’Connor P’22, Associate Director of Career Services Allison Hadley and Director of Leadership Giving Mary Kerwick.
The Salisbury Center hosts a range of career and networking events each winter break, including the NYC Finance Experience, Day on the Hill in Washington, D.C., and the Behind the Scenes trip to Los Angeles, offering insight into careers in banking, finance, government, journalism, public policy, media and entertainment, and the nonprofit sector.
At these events, students establish important professional connections, engage with new people and perspectives, and even land internships and set the stage for possible future employment.
