As you consider your off-campus study options for Spring Semester 2022, be sure to attend our HWSabroad Spring 2022 Program Information Session on Thursday, February 4, 2021 starting at 7:30 pm. The event will begin with staff from the Center for Global Education providing an overview of the programs that will be offered for Spring 2022, discussing important study abroad policies and procedures, and explaining the application process. This will be followed by a series of program-specific information sessions in which faculty, staff from the CGE and some of our international partners, and student Global Ambassadors will provide more details about individual programs to help you learn more about the destinations that you are considering.

Your undergraduate journey begins in Geneva, but your HWS experience can take you across the globe.

60% of Hobart and William Smith students participate in off-campus study before they graduate. Whether it is interning with an organization in Vietnam, studying Spanish and living with a host family in Spain, or conducting fieldwork on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, such experiences complement and enhance the on-campus academic program.

Given our global focus, the HWS curriculum has been designed to encourage off-campus study. The Colleges maintain a robust menu of programs, offering a wide array of options in different academic disciplines around the world. Admission to these programs is competitive. Students should consult the CGE website for further details on each program, including eligibility requirements, course offerings, accommodations, excursions, and costs, as well as for information on the application process and funding opportunities.
