    Need help funding your study abroad experience? This informative workshop will guide you in the process of finding and applying to scholarship and funding opportunities.
  • GIS (Study Abroad General Information Session): Jan. 30, 7:30 p.m., Vandervort Room
    Come learn about Spring 2020 study abroad opportunities. A general information session will be followed by individual small group Q&A meetings.
  • Travel Photography Workshop: Feb. 13, 6-7 p.m., Trinity 305
    Do you want to learn some basic techniques for taking photos that you will be proud to show friends, families and possibly prospective employers about what you have learned and done abroad? Come to this workshop led by Kevin Colton, HWS professional staff photographer and Paul Ciaccia, Senior Editor of Multimedia, Photography and Videography and learn the fundamentals of travel photography techniques.
  • Global Career Panel: Feb. 26, 7-8 p.m., Trinity 305
    Are you looking for ways to incorporate the international experience into your personal, professional and academic lives. This panel is a great opportunity to receive information on various possibilities: Peace Corps, International Fellowships, Teaching Abroad, Grad School Abroad, and Marketing your International Experience.

Your undergraduate journey begins in Geneva, but your HWS experience can take you across the globe.

60% of Hobart and William Smith students participate in off-campus study before they graduate. Whether it is interning with an organization in Vietnam, studying Spanish and living with a host family in Spain, or conducting fieldwork on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, such experiences complement and enhance the on-campus academic program.

Given our global focus, the HWS curriculum has been designed to encourage off-campus study. The Colleges maintain a robust menu of programs, offering a wide array of options in different academic disciplines around the world. Admission to these programs is competitive. Students should consult the CGE website for further details on each program, including eligibility requirements, course offerings, accommodations, excursions, and costs, as well as for information on the application process and funding opportunities.
