The Rochester-based Democrat and Chronicle, part of the USA Today network, published an article “New Hobart, William Smith president starts work” on July 18. The article announces that President Gregory J. Vincent ’83 officially started his tenure at Hobart and William Smith on Monday. The piece also includes a video featuring the Colleges’ presidential announcement in April 2017.

GENEVA – Hobart and William Smith Colleges in the Finger Lakes have a new president this week.
Gregory Vincent started his new job Monday. He was named the 27th president of Hobart College and the 16th president of William Smith College in April.
Vincent is a former vice president for diversity and community engagement at the University of Texas at Austin.
The New York City native also is a 1983 graduate of Hobart, making him the first alumnus to serve as president of Hobart and William Smith.
