The Center of Global Education (CGE) will host an information session on studying abroad with the Colleges on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017 in the Vandervort room of the Scandling Campus Center at 7:30 p.m.
At the beginning of each semester, Global Ed holds this event for students who are considering studying abroad. The session is important for those who are interested in studying in the spring of 2018, as they must apply a full year in advance to the destination of their choice.
At the event, students will learn about the various destinations, how the application process works, and what Global Ed staff members are looking for in an applicant. The staff will also provide students with information on the cost of studying abroad and how financial aid factors into the process.
In addition, small break-out sessions will be led by faculty members, Global Ed staff, partner institution representatives, and HWS students who have just returned from various abroad destinations. Each session will focus on a specific destination where students will learn about the program’s classes, living accommodations, excursions and other details, as well as a short period for questions.
The event will include a short slideshow of photographs from various abroad destinations.
Any questions regarding the information session, or studying abroad in general, can be emailed to CGE at firstname.lastname@example.org.
