Holowinski ’93 earns AWMA® designation as financial advisor

Jason R. Holowinski ’93 recently completed his studies at the College for Financial Planning, designating him an Accredited Wealth Management Advisorsm.

Holowinski began his career in finance in New York City after graduating from HWS with a bachelor’s in economics. In 2008, Holowinski joined Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, a top wealth management firm headquartered in Philadelphia, Pa. He presently holds the title of assistant vice president/wealth mangement, and is a member of the Smith/Holowinski Wealth Advisory Group in Janney’s Syracuse, N.Y. office.

The Accredited Wealth Management Advisorsm program has a rigorous curriculum developed by the College for Financial Planning, encompassing wealth strategies, equity-based compensation plans, tax reduction alternatives, and asset protection alternatives.

Recently celebrating its 185th anniversary, Janney Montgomery Scott is a leading full-service wealth management, financial services and investment banking firm. Janney serves clients through a network of professionals in branch offices located along the East Coast.

During his time at HWS, Holowinski was a four-year member of the Hobart hockey team, as well as a member of Theta Delta Chi. He is active in the Hobart Alumni Association.
