HWS Storm Update

The National Weather Service Storm Warning remains in effect until 8 p.m. Wednesday night with forecasts calling for significant additional snow and increased winds. Ontario and neighboring Counties have issued Travel Advisories and, starting at 10 p.m. Sheriff Philip C. Povero has advised No Unnecessary Travel on Ontario County roads.

Given the hazardous travel conditions that will persist for the next 24 hours, employees are not expected to report to campus tomorrow, Wednesday, March 15. We ask that employees monitor phones and e-mail messages remotely to address urgent matters. Employees who have the capacity to work from home are encouraged to do so. Emergency personnel including Campus Safety and Buildings & Grounds should be in contact with their supervisors regarding shift expectations.

The Office of Human Resources will send a message to the campus community later this week with directions on how to record time for these two inclement weather days.

As advised earlier today, students staying on campus during this week’s break should use caution if leaving their residence halls. For any immediate safety issues, contact Campus Safety at (315) 781-3333.

We will communicate further updates via e-mail and Twitter (www.Twitter.com/hwscolleges)as they become available.
