The International Café “Game and Music Night” this week is bringing together HWS students and community members for a fun night of games, learning and new connections.
The event will take place beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 7 at the Chaplain’s Residence at 630 S. Main St. (next to St. John’s Chapel).
Café activities typically begin with group improv games followed by a variety of board games from Asia such as Mahjong and Carrom. Attendees will also have the chance to enjoy other games such as Twister and Jenga. Café participants may bring instruments to play during a music session, which includes karaoke, a “rock band” stage set up and piano playing.
The Friday night gathering offers lots of flexibility for attendees who would like to relax before the end of the semester and finals. Bubble tea and an array of international snacks will be served. All students and members of the Geneva community are invited.
A student-organized event, the International Café is headed by Rebecca Czajkowski ’18 and Lao Yan ’19, writing fellows at the Center for Teaching and Learning. The duo organized the Moon Festival party during the fall semester as well as the dumpling-making party after Lunar New Year.
