McLaughlin receives HDI Local Chapter Award

Kelly McLaughlin, director of operations and technical support at HWS, received the 2018 Local Chapter Officer of the Year Award at the HDI 2018 Conference & Expo in Las Vegas, Nev. The award is given annually to honor a volunteer leader from an HDI chapter community.

The annual conference was held in April and was dedicated to covering aspects of technical support with more than 80 training sessions, extraordinary keynote speakers and a wealth of networking opportunities.

McLaughlin has been with HDI for more than 10 years. She has served as president of the Western and Central New York chapter and as vice president of programs, chapter advisor of the Northeastern Regional Directory. As a leader at HDI, McLaughlin has played a large role in the HDI Higher Education Forum and has served as a mentor to new attendees at the Forum. At HWS, McLaughlin is responsible for technical support and services, overseeing the Support Center, Field Support, Classroom and Event Support, the Print Shop and Post Office.
