The Office of Student Activities will host the Spring Involvement Expo on Friday, Jan. 27 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Vandervort Room of the Scandling Campus Center.
The Spring Expo provides an additional opportunity for students to explore and join the many involvement opportunities that HWS and Geneva have to offer. During this time, students can sign up and receive information from various clubs, organizations, departments and offices.
Students of all levels are encouraged to attend, especially first-year, sophomores and transfer students who want to get involved in anything on campus, from politics to dance to community service to sports. The Colleges have more than 100 clubs and organizations, providing an array of options to students who want to get involved in extracurricular groups and activities.
Additionally, students with ideas about new clubs or activities that they would like to start at HWS or throughout Geneva can visit the Student Activities table to receive information on how to create an organization.
“Not only can you find out what clubs and organizations exist at HWS, but at the Spring Involvement Expo students can find out what clubs have done in the fall semester as well as what events they have coming up in the spring,” says Denise Polanco ’11, program coordinator of Student Activities.
