Prior to landing this position at Deloitte, Nusom interned at Yellow Dog Fly Fishing Adventures in Bozeman, Montana. On campus he works in the Office of Admissions and as an Environmental Studies Teaching Fellow and Teaching Assistant.
Nusom credits HWS’ career network, as well as his extracurricular involvements, with preparing him for the job search, as well as his future at Deloitte. His accomplishments at HWS include winning the Todd Feldman ’89 and Family Pitch contest in 2021 for his sustainable design company SymBio. He also founded and hosts the Entrepreneurial Endeavors Podcast, which follows the stories of HWS alums who have launched business ventures.
“HWS was fantastic in helping me set up for success. The alum network combined with the opportunities such as The Pitch, my podcast, and extracurricular interests such as the Debate team were fundamental in landing this job,” says Nusom.

Nusom thanks Professor of Economics Tom Drennen with being his adviser and mentor, and the person who he says prepared him for this role.
“I can remember sitting down at lunch with Professor Drennen the first week I got to HWS as a first year. I told him my goal of landing a job of this caliber. He pushed and challenged me from that point and his guidance is really what kept me on track the whole time,” Nusom says.
