Boysen

Daniel H. Boysen '11 is currently the fundraising manager at Everytown for Gun Safety, a non-profit that works to reduce gun violence in America. He joined the President's Forum Series on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 5 p.m. in the Geneva Room.

Following graduation, Boysen moved to Washington, D.C. Through the help of the HWS alum network, he landed a fundraising internship with The Frost Group, a boutique PAC fundraising firm. In September 2011, he was hired by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee as the west finance assistant. By September 2013, he was promoted to west finance director, making him responsible for fundraising efforts in all western states.

After the 2014 elections, Boysen began working as the fundraising manager at Everytown for Gun Safety in New York City. Everytown for Gun Safety was founded by former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg in April 2014, and is the largest gun violence prevention organization in the country. The organization is active in more than 35 states and is committed to employing a multi-faceted, non-partisan and data driven approach to reducing gun violence in the U.S.

Boysen grew up in Windsor, Conn. and attended Kingswood Oxford School. At HWS, he majored in political science with double minors in public policy and international relations.
