Spitzer

On March 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the Geneva Room, First Lady of New York Silda Wall Spitzer will speak on her work as Chair of the New York State Commission on National and Community Service.

Her lecture is titled "The Role of Service in Fostering Community and Economic Revitalization in New York State." 

Spitzer works diligently on community building efforts and promoting civic engagement. She has extensive experience in the private and non-profit sectors, having held positions at Chase Manhattan Bank and Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom; and acted as founding Chair of Children for Children; worked with the Eleanor Roosevelt Legacy Committee's Women's Vote Project, NYCharities.org and the New York Blue Ribbon Commission on Youth Leadership. 

Spitzer received her Bachelor’s degree summa cum laude from Meredith College and her law degree from Harvard.
