COVID-19 Updates

Dear Members of the Hobart and William Smith Community,
Earlier tonight, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention determined that Ontario County’s transmission rate has now reached “substantial,” and in response the CDC advises that masks be worn in indoor public spaces.
Effective immediately, Hobart and William Smith Colleges will require all faculty, staff, students and visitors to wear masks in indoor public spaces, regardless of vaccination status. The mandatory mask policy will stay in effect until further notice.
Vaccination remains the best option to protect oneself and the community against COVID-19. U.S. vaccines are available, safe and highly effective, and HWS will continue to encourage and assist our community members in accessing them.
