Good Morning,

We hope you had a relaxing weekend and are gearing up for the last few weeks of the semester, which will be full of activities. This week, we’ll welcome prospective students at a junior open house as well as at an admitted students day. On Thursday night, Dean Brophy will lead a special Bicentennial Charter Day event with six past deans of Hobart College while on Friday, we celebrate the annual Charter Day including raising the special Bicentennial flag on the Quad.

If you traveled this weekend, remember that the COVID-19 Resource Center is open for drop-in testing Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. In addition, the Center is still distributing take-home tests for all members of the HWS community. Students, if you are not fully vaccinated, you are required to be tested weekly. We currently have five students in isolation, some of whom tested positive while at home. If you are feeling ill, symptomatic testing for students is available at the Hubbs Health Center.

This week, NCAA announced revised policies for student athletes as they relate to asymptomatic surveillance, no longer requiring weekly testing in favor of symptomatic testing and screening.  As the Campus Logistics Team evaluates policies for next year, they are gathering recommendations from Ontario and Monroe County Public Health. More information to come.

All the best,

Sarah Kirk
Provost and Dean of Faculty
