April 4, 2022

Good Morning,

We write after a successful weekend in which the Colleges hosted two outstanding events: an Open House that welcomed more than 300 accepted students and their families, and the HWS International Round Robin Debate Tournament that brought some of the best debate teams in the world to campus. Congratulations also to the athletics teams who competed over the weekend including William Smith lacrosse that powered to its fourth straight win and Hobart rowing that opened its spring schedule by retaining the Statesmen Cup.

There are currently two students in isolation. Fewer symptomatic students came to the Hubbs Health Center last week, continuing the lower case count trend over the last few weeks. With everyone’s continued diligence, we remain optimistic regarding the remainder of the semester.

As a reminder, the COVID-19 Resource and Testing Center remains open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) for PCR and rapid anti-gen tests. As always, students experiencing symptoms should visit the Hubbs Health Center for an appointment.

We wish you a productive week of classes and, as always, if you have any questions, please let us know.

Sincerely,

Sarah Kirk
Provost and Dean of Faculty
