Each year, two students are selected to serve as Orientation Coordinators, leading campus-wide efforts to welcome first-year and transfer students to the Colleges. Among the most coveted leadership positions at HWS, it’s an opportunity for one William Smith student and one Hobart student to give a new cohort of students the tools and experiences they need to be successful in college.
The Office of Student Activities is now accepting applications. The selected Orientation Coordinators will hand-pick, train and lead the Orientation team, as well as ensure that the planning and implementation of the weekend runs smoothly. The Orientation Coordinator positions run from Feb. 27 to Sept. 8.
Interested students are encouraged to apply either online or to complete a paper application which can be picked up in Student Activities at the Scandling Campus Center. Completed applications should be submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 3 to Director of Student Activities Kristen Tobey at email@example.com.
Interviews will take place during the week of Feb. 13. Applications for the 2017 Orientation team will be available online Monday, March 6. If you have any questions about the application process or the Orientation Coordinator positions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
