- A packed house gathers in the Vandervort Room to hear speakers from Witness to Innocence, a national organization that empowers exonerated death row survivors to advocate for the end of the death penalty in the United States.
- Shujaa Graham discusses his wrongful conviction with students, faculty and staff during the Witness to Innocence event in the Vandervort Room. An exonerated death row survivor, Graham now offers lectures on the death penalty, the criminal justice system, racism and gang violence around the world. The speaker series was organized by Associate Professor of Sociology James Sutton.
- Exonerated death row survivor Kirk Bloodsworth speaks about his time in prison during Cultural Psychology with Associate Professor of Psychology Brien Ashdown. Bloodsworth was the first person in the U.S. to be exonerated from death row by DNA testing.
