- A member of the HWS Sailing team, Tory Mileti 22 spends a lot of early mornings and windy afternoons at her favorite place on campus, the Bozzuto Boathouse. Its always so pretty there, and a great place to hang out.
- The architectural studio in Houghton House is Reece Wilsons 24 favorite place on campus. This is a space where I can create and collaborate with other students. It is where my best ideas (both architectural and personal) are developed.
- While she typically prefers to study in the Warren Hunting Smith Library, Konoko Tsubakiyama '23 says that when its nice out, she enjoys working on the tables outside of the Scandling Campus Center.
- This is my favorite spot on campus because of its gorgeous location that encapsulates the beauty of our campus. It is also an amazing place to get some work done while enjoying the athletics that HWS has to offer, Owen Killy 23 says, from the tables near Cozzens Field.
- A wide receiver on the Hobart Football team, Shahkyle Matthews '22 poses at his favorite location on campus, The Boz.
- If Hobart and William Smith is my home away from home, then this is my room. Its where I eat, sleep and hang out with friends. Its everything I love about campus in a single small house, says William Koepp 23 about the Writing House (Trowbridge).
- Katie Pratt 23 gravitates to the benches on Seneca Lake especially at sunrise. This is a peaceful place to sit and read while watching the water, she says.
- For Brayton Slusser 23, The Cellar Pub is his go-to place after class to grab food and meet with friends. I think because of the small space, it forces you to interact with other students and overall provides a good place to study, while also giving a good alternate meal option.
- A member of the William Smith basketball team, Lauren DeVaney 23 says her favorite spot is the Raleigh-Foley-Kraus (RFK) Varsity Strength Training Center because strength and conditioning has made her a better athlete. Coach Gray and Coach Vic push me to get stronger mentally and physically, she says.
- The William Smith Hill is a favorite place on campus for Taylor Wilkie '22. Im always underneath the trees in the Adirondack chairs by William Smith when I need a peaceful spot to call home, do work or just relax.
- Eric Strait 22 gets ready to work at his favorite study spot, the Blackwell Room. Its a nice quiet spot to study away from the main library. In the Blackwell Room, Strait says he knows he can focus and get work done.
- When Henry Gomez '22 is conducting research on Harmful Algal Blooms toxicity and toxins at the Finger Lakes Institute, he says he feels like hes living out his childhood dream. I get to feel like the scientist I wanted to be when I was young at this remarkable place on campus, he says.
- Chloe Brown 21 loves the lake. The Finger Lakes provide the HWS community with the unique opportunity to explore a complex system of watersheds. The 11 diverse lakes attract attention from students, citizen scientists and research organizations, all working together to understand and protect this special environment.
- In his first two years on campus, John Herlihy 23 had a couple of classes in Demarest Hall and found the architecture very cool. Currently, along with his friends, he goes there to find a quiet corner especially during finals week.
- The Deming Dance Theater to me is like a blank canvas. Every time I walk in, I can leave everything else at the door and just take time for myself to be creative, says Lauren Earley '22.
- Taking a break from his Summer of Service work, Raja Hammad Mehmood 22 sits along the Quad near Williams Hall.
- Grace Faulkner 22 enjoys working in the chemistry lab in Lansing Hall.
