Christopher Raveis ’93 has been named to the Swanepoel Power 200 list of the most powerful and influential leaders in the real estate industry.
The Swanepoel Power 200, considered the definitive ranking of executives in the residential real estate brokerage industry, has named Christopher Raveis ’93 to its list of the most powerful and influential leaders.
Raveis and his brother Ryan are co-presidents of William Raveis Real Estate, Mortgage & Insurance (WRRE) in Shelton, Conn., the top family-owned real estate company spanning the Northeast and Florida. The brothers rank 31st on this year’s power list, up five spots from 2018. They were also ranked fourth among influential family business leaders.
In addition to his duties as co-president of WRRE, Raveis serves as president of residential sales. “We are deeply committed to constantly developing the best, state-of-the-art technology, tools and home-selling services in this competitive real estate market,” he says. “We focus every day on making sure we have the best tech, the best tools and the best talent to empower our team to win more business and continue to expand our entrepreneurial family business.”
The annual Swanepoel list is published by T3 Sixty, a team of strategic, technological and managerial experts in the industry. It spotlights leaders who meet certain criteria, including more than $3 billion in annual sales, 10,000 annual transactions or 500 agents.
Raveis graduated from HWS with a degree in economics. On campus, he was a member of Theta Delta Chi and the baseball team and studied abroad in Vienna, Austria. Prior to his position in the family business, he headed the national sales team for Home-Link Services, Inc. and worked with Jones Lang LaSalle, where he was named as one of the top five commercial brokers in the Metro-Atlanta area by the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties.
WRRE is ranked in the top 10 real estate companies nationally, with annual sales of $16 billion.
