An annual tradition celebrating a year of artistic accomplishments, the “Student Art and Architecture: Studio Work from 2017-2018,” is on display through Sunday, May 13 throughout the Houghton House Estate at the Davis Gallery, the Katherine D. Elliott Studio Arts Center and the Goldstein Family Carriage House.
The show features a variety of visual media, from color to black and white, in silkscreens and in photographs, in charcoal and in paint, and in sculpture and digital media. The exhibit showcases artists who are enrolled in studio classes from beginner to advanced levels. Architectural studio projects are also on display, emphasizing the illustration of rich design process. These projects include final models, multi-media studies and rendered drawings.
All art pieces on display were selected by faculty members of the Department of Art and Architecture and represent the artistic vision and passion of the student art community.
The Davis Gallery is open from Monday through Friday, from 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 1:30 – 4:30 pm. The Katherine D. Elliott Studio Arts Center and the Goldstein Family Carriage House are open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
