    Clinical Internship Program

The HWS Clinical Internship Program allows students to deepen their knowledge of health care and health care careers by working closely with outstanding professionals here in our community. HWS has an affiliation agreement with Finger Lakes Health, the largest independent health care provider between Syracuse and Rochester, and we also maintain good relationships with a number of other health care providers in Geneva and the surrounding communities. These connections allow students to gain direct, first-hand experiences in clinical settings, experiences that are often difficult to secure.

The application process for an internship placement begins with attendance at the mandatory information meeting held at the start of every semester. Students must be of sophomore standing or above to be eligible for a clinical placement, and there are GPA minimums for eligibility. HIPPA training and a health screening are required for most placements, and students must commit to doing 50 hours on site during the semester of the internship.

Following is a list of potential internship opportunities.
