Why I Give

I give to HWS both financially and by volunteering my time. I have served on the board of directors of the Geneva Scholarship Associates (GSA) for eight years and was the president for four years. When I attended HWS, my twin brother Joe and I both received GSA scholarships which helped my parents tremendously. At the time I probably didn't appreciate how much it helped my parents. GSA has kept me involved with HWS and it has been exciting to watch the GSA endowment grow over the years. GSA is providing significant scholarships to local kids who otherwise may not have attended HWS. It is a very rewarding feeling to see the number of kids we are helping and the amount scholarships we are giving. I have also met a lot of great people who work for HWS, the donors and many of the scholars whom I may have never met if I was not involved with GSA.
