“As I found out over the years since graduating on that cool sunny day in 1980, the “real world” can be hard. My four years at Hobart and William Smith totally encouraged me to build on my strengths. As the president of William Smith Student Congress, I was able to see myself as a leader and that has encouraged and inspired me in many capacities since, both professionally and personally. My self-confidence is just part of the strong woman I have become and I owe that to my wonderful parents and the well-rounded and nourishing education I had at Hobart and William Smith. I wish I could give more to the Colleges as they have evolved into an entity I am still so proud to call my alma mater. Hobart and William Smith enveloped me with knowledge, tolerance, open-mindedness and love.”
