"I give because I believe in the mission of the Colleges to educate future leaders to think broadly and deeply about our world. When I was at HWS studying American Studies, the large majority of my classes were interdisciplinary and I loved making connections across fields of study and beyond. Now, as I tour colleges all over the country that have adopted similar curricular goals, I see that we were truly on the cutting edge, creating connections that would ultimately help us navigate our careers and impact our thinking forever. I am proud of the Colleges’ legacy and their dedication to the liberal arts, and I am wowed by the current students' commitment to service, study abroad and civic engagement."
