In addition to MacKinnon’s work in the financial sector at JP Morgan Chase, she also ran her own management technology consulting company. She shifted gears when she “…answered the call to help women rediscover their inner desires and manifest the life of their dreams,” and began work as a certified Feng Shui practitioner. MacKinnon has combined her passion for the eastern practice of Feng Shui with a western aesthetic to create elegant and beautiful spaces, and has applied her entrepreneurial mindset and background by establishing Creative Feng Shui.
Through her business, she has taught courses on Feng Shui at places such as the Hospital for Special Surgery; she also taught “Feng Shui 101” to the Global Real Estate Women’s Group at JP Morgan Chase. She has written several articles on Feng Shui, and been interviewed by thought leaders in the worlds of Speaking, Art, Spirituality, Women Empowerment and Life Transitions, particularly transitioning from corporate to a creative entrepreneur.
The Speakers Who Dare special has been produced by Jamie Broderick and award-winning filmmaker Tricia Brouk, who both served as former executive producers of TEDx Lincoln Square.
