19 October 2024 Halloween Town: A Night of Thrills and Fun at Bristol Field House By Leia Brunt ’26
Kicking off the spooky season with Fright Night.
On Saturday, the Bristol Field House hosted Fright Night, a Halloween spectacular open to all HWS students. The event featured a haunted house, two escape rooms, a mechanical zombie bull, tarot card readers, a psychic medium, wax hand making, airbrush tattoos and UFO laser tag. Free food was provided by Roc City Sammich, Dainty Donuts and Funk’n Waffles food trucks.
Cari Bastian, Associate Director of Student Activities, was happy with the great turnout.
“CAB and Student Activities were very excited to host a new type of Halloween event this year,” says Bastian. “The new lineup of activities was designed to appeal to students looking for a thrill, whether it’s experiencing a haunted house or getting their fortune told. We also brought back some favorite features from past Halloween events, like firepits and s’mores, tarot card readers and popular food trucks offering free food options.”
Starting at 7 p.m., a shuttle ran from the Scandling Campus Center to Bristol Field House.
There also was an opportunity for students to provide feedback and improvement suggestions for the future of this event. If there are any questions, please contact the Office of Student Engagement or the Campus Activities Board.
