23 June 2025 Bohan ’27 and Ramsay ’27 Elected as Student Trustees

Cori Bohan ’27 and Rupert Ramsay ’27 have been elected by their peers to serve as Junior Student Trustees.

Cori Bohan ’27 and Rupert Ramsay ’27 have been elected to serve on the HWS Board of Trustees. This important, long-established role at Hobart and William Smith ensures students have a seat at the table where key decisions are made and engages student perspectives in conversations about governance, policy and institutional priorities. As juniors Bohan and Ramsay will work with current Student Trustees Hailey Galvan ’26 and Rex Eidlin ’26, who will mentor them in the role and its responsibilities. As seniors, Bohan and Ramsay will hold full voting privileges as members of the Board.

Beginning in the fall semester, Bohan and Ramsay will begin their two-year appointment. In their role, they will advocate for student interests and provide input on matters including policy, finances and campus life.

"Being a Student Trustee is a meaningful opportunity to bring diverse student voices to the table and to make sure those voices are truly considered in the decisions that shape our HWS community,” Bohan says. “I'm committed to listening closely and advocating for what’s best for all students.”

“I'm incredibly excited for the opportunity to serve as a Student Trustee,” Ramsay says. “To me, no other role better reflects how deeply valued the student voice is at HWS. Student Trustees have the unique privilege of communicating directly with the Board and actually having a vote, allowing them to help drive meaningful change on campus.”

Bohan, who is from Westerville, Ohio and attended Westerville North High School, is a double major in sociology and peace studies. She serves as an O’Laughlin Ambassador in the Office of Admissions, Writing Colleague, Civic Leader of Outreach, Student Mentor with the Centennial Center and First-Year Mentor. She was a finalist in the Todd Feldman '89 and Family Pitch Competition.

Ramsay, who is from Chatham, Mass. and attended Phillips Exeter Academy, is pursuing a double major in international relations and Asian studies, with a minor in the Writing Colleagues Program. He is a member of the Hobart swimming and diving team and works as a Head O’Laughlin Ambassador. He also serves as a Teaching Fellow for the International Relations Department.
