9 February 2026 'She's Got This!'

Immersive visit by Saman Munir showcases her story of strength, faith and breaking barriers in the fitness world.

Influencer and personal trainer Saman Munir will bring her journey of fitness and faith to the stage during “She’s Got This!,” a theatrical experience on Thursday, Feb. 12 at 6 p.m. in Bartlett Theatre. Organized by the Muslim Students Association and the Muslim Life Center, “She’s Got This!” is free and open to the public.

Using illuminated stations and props, Munir will walk guests through the different stages of her life, highlighting key events including climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the world’s highest free-standing mountain. She will also reflect on her experiences as a Muslim fitness influencer.

“To hear her story as a Muslim woman in fitness, in a predominantly male field, is superb,” says Muslim Student Advisor Shaheed Ali. “Her’s is one of self-drive, self-inspiration and motivation.”

Munir has more than 500,000 followers across her social media accounts where she shares workouts and motivational content.

In an interview with Women’s Best, Munir says, “Initially when I began my fitness journey, it definitely was not common to see that representation of Muslim female athletes in the boxing and fitness world. However, I am glad to see that statistic is positively changing and more women are breaking that stereotype. I don’t believe my presence and content is something that surprises the Muslim community since there are tons of talented women in various fields within our community.”

Munir also uses her platform as an example to highlight how faith guides her fitness.

“Training, for me, isn’t just physical. It’s a mental and spiritual practice,” Munir says in an interview in Cosmopolitan Middle East. “When I'm lifting weights or pushing through challenging workouts, I think of it as an act of discipline and patience, both of which are qualities our faith teaches us to cultivate.”

“Everyone needs inspiration and by having Saman Munir come to campus, showing how she overcame her own obstacles, I hope that resonates with students,” says Ali.
