President's Medal
Jerome T. Levy '63
Jerome T. Levy '63 was a member of the Hobart and William Smith team that became the undefeated champions of the G.E. College Bowl in 1961. The victory brought national attention to Hobart and William Smith Colleges, and is attributed for raising both donor interest and prospective students' attention.
A valued member of the HWS community, Levy went on to become equally important in the legal community. After earning a law degree and a master's of law in taxation from New York University, he embarked on a long and varied career. As a partner with Duane Morris LLP, Levy is a noted specialist in New York State health law and has distinguished himself over the years as chair of the New York State Bar Association's Health Law Committee and Health Law Section. Levy's counsel has been sought in cases with the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare, the Social Security Administration, the Office of Long Term Care, and countless others.
Levy's understanding of our nation's health care system has facilitated the continued treatment of thousands of Americans, and he has shared that knowledge and understanding as an adjunct professor at Pace University School of Law and other institutions.
