The Colleges have collaborated on our COVID-19 testing and face covering requirements with Ontario County Public Health. As NYS and Ontario County will no longer require masking indoors, the Colleges will similarly allow fully vaccinated individuals to choose whether or not to wear face covering while indoors, unless otherwise noted. We continue to monitor both the on-campus and off-campus health situation.

“Confirmed Positive Cases” refers to the total number of positive cases returned through the Colleges’ testing program since Jan. 21, 2022. Also included are confirmed positive test results of on-campus students, faculty or staff who were tested by a provider outside the Colleges’ testing program starting Jan. 21, 2022. “Confirmed Positive Cases” equals “Recovered” plus “New Cases Today.”

“New Cases Today” are the number of newly identified positive cases on the date of the last update to the dashboard.

“Negative Tests” are the number of tests administered by the Colleges since Jan. 21, 2022 that were returned negative. Rapid antigen and PCR tests are reported on the following day’s dashboard (i.e., a test on Monday will be reported on Tuesday’s dashboard). A traditional PCR test is reported the day after the test result is known (i.e., the results of a test administered on Monday will be known on Tuesday, and will therefore be reported on Wednesday’s dashboard).

“Quarantines and Isolations” refers to the number of students separated from the overall community as a result of exposure to or infection from COVID-19. A quarantine separates and restricts the movement of unvaccinated people who may have been exposed to COVID-19 in case they become sick. Isolation separates people who have tested positive for COVID-19 from people who are not sick.

“Recovered” refers to the number of people who at one time tested positive and who currently have no symptoms of COVID-19. Those who are recovered can return to normal activities.
