- Geneva Calder '16 presents her talk titled Big, Bad Western Pride and Its Place in Influencing LGBT Rights in Latvia as part of the Senior Symposium in the Warren Hunting Smith Library Learning Studio 1. This semester, 137 HWS seniors and MAT candidates presented during the program’s eighth year.

- Associate Professor of English Rob Carson gives a pre-show Frame/Works Series talk for the HWS Theatre production of “Duchess.” Carson's talk was titled John Webster and the Shakespeare Industrial Complex. Frame/Works is a program designed to draw connections between scholarly examination and artistic practice.

Professor of Geoscience Neil Laird is her adviser for her Honors project “Climatology of Wind Chill Temperatures Across North America.” Howarth is the current recipient of the Thomas S. Bozzuto '68 Endowed Scholarship.

- Hobart students and alums process past Demarest Hall to commence the Charter Day ceremony. One of the year's honored celebrations, Charter Day is held each spring to commemorate the granting of Hobart's charter by the State of New York on April 10, 1822.
- Hobart Dean Eugen Baer P'95, P'97 opens the Charter Day ceremony, which commemorates the founding of Hobart College in 1822.
- On behalf of the Hobart College Alumni Association, Rick Solomon ’75, P'10 chair of the Alumni Association’s Honors Committee, presents its highest honor, the Medal of Excellence, to Eric D. W. Cohler '81, president of Eric Cohler Design and an adjunct professor of art and architecture at HWS.
- Eric D. W. Cohler '81 delivers the Charter Day keynote address in St. John's Chapel. Cohler discussed connectivity, which he called an increasingly important value of a liberal arts education in a digital world. He also shared the story of how HWS inspired him to pursue a career in art and design.
