- In memory of the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the Kappa Alpha Society placed American flags near Trinity Hall overlooking the Quad as part of the annual day of remembrance. The HWS community lost three alumni in the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001: Andrew H. Golkin 93, Scott W. Rohner 01 and Michael J. Simon 83, P11, P13.

Located in downtown Geneva, the Dove building once served as the studio for America's first abstract expressionist painter Arthur Dove. Dove is a member of the Hobart Class of 1903.
