- In memory of the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, members of Kappa Alpha Society placed American flags near Trinity Hall overlooking the Quad as part of the annual day of remembrance. The HWS community lost three alumni in the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001: Andrew H. Golkin ’93, Scott W. Rohner ’01 and Michael J. Simon ’83, P’11, P’13.

- Rebecca Czajkowski ’18 talks about the personal impact the terrorists attacks had on her family during the remembrance ceremony on Monday. Czajkowski’s mother Traci Tack-Czajkowski P’18 was a detective with the New York Police Department who responded to the attacks the morning of September 11. She passed away after a battle with lung cancer attributed to her service.

- Author John D’Agata ’95 offers a talk as this year’s Trias Writer-in Residence. A professor of English and director of the Nonfiction Writing Program at the University of Iowa, he is the author of The Lifespan of a Fact and About a Mountain, which was named by the New York Times as one of the 100 Best Nonfiction Books Ever Written.
