Dave Urick (center), coached the Statesmen lacrosse team to 10 straight NCAA Division III Championships during the 1980s. In honor of his indelible impact on the Statesman lacrosse program, the Colleges named the stadium at the Caird Center for Sports and Recreation in his honor.

- In honor of the late President George H.W. Bush, we remembered an invitation from the White House in 1990. After winning their 11th straight NCAA championship, the Hobart lacrosse team was invited to represent Division III and meet with President George H.W. Bush in Washington, D.C.
- Wide receiver Ray Conley '20 escapes a defender during the Centennial Cup against the University of Rochester. The Statesmen finished the season with a 5-4 record, having named 15 players to the 2018 Liberty League All-Academic Team.
- Kelsey Pierce ’20 clears a shot off the goalline during the Herons’ 2-1 victory over Skidmore. Four members of the William Smith field hockey team earned a spot on the 2018 Liberty League All-Academic Team.

- Alan Dubrovsky ’20 hits a backhand shot during the ITA Northeast Regional Championship. Dubrovsky went on to become the first Statesman to win the ITA Regional Championship since Adam Schapiro ’96 won in 1995. An All-American, he enters the spring season as the nation’s fifth-ranked singles player.
- Charlotte Engebrecht ’21 hits a backhand during the Mary Hosking Invitational. The Herons return to competition on March 2, when they host Oberlin in Bristol Field House.
- The Hobart and William Smith sailing team practices on Seneca Lake. The Colleges finished first in a field of 18 teams at the Middle Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association's fall coed championship in Oct. 2018.
- Stewart Falso '22 strides toward the finish during the NCAA Division III Atlantic Regional Championships in Logan Township, N.J. At the peak of the season, the Statesmen placed second at the Cross Country Only Conference Championship.
- Jules Picuri '20 passes a competitor during the NCAA Division III Atlantic Region Championship. The Herons placed 16th out of 44 teams, the best finish by William Smith since the 2001 team was 14th at the Atlantic Regional.
- Nary Cary '20 passes a defender during Hobart's 1-0 victory over Clarkson College. Hobart finished fourth in the Liberty League.
- Goalkeeper Amanda Kesler ’22 makes a save during the tie breaker penalty kick against Williams. Having won the Liberty League Conference Championship, the Herons advanced to the quarterfinals of the Division III National Women's Soccer Championship.
- Zach Sternbach '20 battles for a loose puck during Hobart's 6-2 win over Elmira College. The Statesmen play Norwich University at The Cooler on Jan. 11 at 7 p.m.
- Kate Klimaszewski ’20 skates toward the goal during William Smith's 5-1 win against Stevenson College. The Herons play King's College in The Cooler on Jan. 12 at 7 p.m.
- Emmaline Riester ’22 swims to a second place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke. The Herons scored a program best second place finish at the RIT Invitational.
