- In This Week in Photos, we feature a glimpse of Orientation 2020 that officially kicked off on Thursday morning. Here, the Spirit Squad - Mackenzie Frary 21 and Mimi Smith 21 - spread cheer around campus and via the @HWSOrientation social media account.

In her remarks, Jacobsen presented a list of themes that underlie a college education, including: bravery, commitment, engagement and humor. In what is now becoming a signature of her welcome to students, she also sang a song parody. This year, it was a version of Allentown by Billy Joel called COVID-town.
