Senior Symposium
- In This Week in Photos, we feature the 13th annual Senior Symposium that was held on Friday. Here, Bliss Doney ’22 presents her work “Why Aesthetic Education Matters to Children” conducted with Professor of Dance Donna Davenport.
- As one of more than 120 students to present during the Senior Symposium, Liam Lyons ’22 discusses his work on the anthropology of mental health conducted with Anthropology Professors Chris Annear and Jeffrey Anderson.
- Presenting work she conducted under the direction of Professor of International Relations Kevin Dunn, Victoria Karpowicz ’23 discusses “Days to Months: The Story of Hope in the Warsaw Uprising” in the Geneva Room.
- Hope Snyder ’22, Star Peña ’22, Emma MacShara ’22, Heidi Aversa ’22 and Sami Foulk ’22 discuss their work on creating “Shared Communities United” with Assets in the Town of Manchester, N.Y. They conducted the work with Professor of Sociology Jack Harris.
- Bryce Benham ’22 answers questions on his work on Constitutional interpretation as part of a panel led by Assistant Professor of Media and Society Rebecca Burditt.
- Julia Bellamy ’22 presents on “Image Analysis for Detecting Harmful Algae Blooms in the Finger Lakes” in the Sanford Room. Her work was with Associate Professor of Physics Ileana Dumitriu.
- In the Barron Multimedia Lab, Ali Shaw ’22 explains her work on dual immersion classrooms, conducted with Professor of Education Diana Baker.
- Isaiah Hopkinson ’22 presents “Identity over Delivery” as part of a panel on building identities led by Visiting Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies Robinson Murphy in the Sanford Room.
- Maegan Manning ’22 discusses her work “Determining Anti-Cancer Potential and Cytotoxicity of Small Compounds” that she did under the direction of Professor of Biology Patricia Mowery.
- Master of Science in Management candidate Jack Lesure ’21, MSM’22 fields questions on his work with Amazon’s “Ring” surveillance technology. Work conducted with Associate Professor of Philosophy Karen Frost-Arnold.
- Karlee Rockstroh ’22 and Noel DeBruyn’22 enjoy discussing their research on improving entrepreneurial studies technical writing with Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurial Studies Craig Talmage.
- Abigail Leyson ’22 discusses her research on hookup culture and college relationships that she conducted with Associate Professor of Writing and Rhetoric Maggie Werner.
