- Kahlil Fontana ’26 dives through the air to score the game-winning goal in the Men’s Division III Ice Hockey national championship. The goal helped Hobart claim its third consecutive national championship. The picture caught the attention of Bobby Orr who noted on social media that it “Looks familiar….”
- William Smith’s second varsity eight won a gold medal at the Liberty League Championships. It was the Herons’ first gold in the 2V8 race since 2017.
- Daniel Barrientos ‘26 led the Statesmen at the HWS Diving Invitational. Barrientos was named the Liberty League Diver of the Week five times this season and was the first Statesman to qualify for the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving National Championships since 1992.
- The William Smith ice hockey team celebrates with Bella Hacker ’28 after she scored the game-winning goal in overtime as the Herons defeated Castleton 1-0.
- Monty Nedd ’28 goes for a layup vs. Bard. The first-year guard was named the Liberty League Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week five times this season.
- Reshika Rajarathinam ‘28 prepares to hit a shot against 23rd-ranked St. Lawrence University. Rajarathinam was named to the All-Liberty League Women's Squash First Team.
- Randall Brown ’25 scores a goal on Senior Day vs. St. Bonaventure.
- Maddy Buck ’26 and Julia Pida ’25 helped the William Smith tennis team to a 7-0 win over SUNY Oneonta with their victory in the No. 1 doubles position.
- The Hobart volleyball team celebrates the match-winning kill by Andrew Kim MHEL ’25 as the Statesmen defeated No. 7 Vassar for their highest ranked win in program history.
- Maura Smeader ’25 makes a save in William Smith lacrosse’s 16-6 win over Cortland. The victory was Smeader’s 60th win, setting a new program record for career wins.
- Jake Schulte ’27 fires a pitch on a beautiful evening at McDonough Park. The 2025 Statesmen (18-17) earned their first winning season since returning to varsity status in 2023.
- Faith Okoli ’26 grabs a rebound during a victory over Bard College.
- Will Patton ’28 skis the slalom at the Mideast Conference Championships held at Bristol Mountain. Patton won the event and helped Hobart take first-place overall.
- Hannah Walsh '28 wins the six-dive 3-meter event at the third annual HWS Diving Invitational.
- Rahul Vallabhajosula ’25 returns a serve as the Hobart tennis team defeated SUNY Oneonta 7-0 during its spring season opener in Bristol Field House.
- Marjorie Plants '25 races to the finish line at the 2025 USCSA National Championships. Plants was a USCSA Mideast Conference First Team All-Conference selection in her senior season.
- The Hobart varsity eight competes on the Cayuga-Seneca Canal against Bucknell.
- Caroline Gannon ’26 enjoyed a successful final week of the golf season. She tied her career-low round and finished third in the Nazareth Invitational, won 1UP in three playoff holes in match play against Geneseo and shot a career-low round in the Liberty League Championships.
- The HWS sailing team competes on Seneca Lake during the MAISA Women’s Team Race Championship. The Herons finished third overall, their best finish in program history.
