During winter break, Hobart and William Smith students will meet with HWS alums, parents and supporters as they tour the nation's leading financial institutions through the Colleges' annual NYC Finance Experience program.

Hosted by the Salisbury Center for Career, Professional and Experiential Education, the extended networking experience will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 7 and conclude Friday, Jan. 10. The annual event offers nearly a week of panel discussions, presentations, tours and receptions with HWS graduates, parents and friends of the Colleges and recruiters from their companies who share experience and advice with students as they prepare for future careers.

Led by Senior Associate Director of Employer Development and Engagement Ali Hubbard and Director of Leadership Gifts Jared Weeden, the Finance Experience will include executives, analysts, bankers, insurance and human resources professionals from leading companies including: BlackRock, Berkery Noyes, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Standard & Poors, Amherst Pierpont Securities, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Bloomberg, Chubb Insurance, Citi Private Bank, Colliers International, Credit Suisse, HSBC, IHS Markit, Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, and Prudential.

Since its inception, the Salisbury Centers immersive trip to New York firms has offered a crucial steppingstone for students to begin their careers in the industry, with students and graduates landing internships and then full-time positions, most recently, like Darius Brummell '21, Jacqueline Cook '21, Caroline Ackerman '20, Mike Goulart '20, Annaliese Schreder '20, Zachary Sternbach '20, Maya Weber '20, Mallory Wright '20, Carolin Martinez Diaz '19, Robert Bobby Lewis '19 and Megan Richard '19.
