HWS OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR

The Office of the Registrar is responsible for academic records, transcripts, grading, registration, and the collection and dissemination of student data. In addition, the office administers the academic calendar and schedule of classes, classroom scheduling, transfer credits, and certifies attendance and/or academic standing. The Registrar’s Office certifies to the faculty those students eligible for graduation.

Responsible for the configuration and management of the PeopleSoft student information system, as well as ad hoc reporting, the course repeat process, academic enrollment services, adjustments to student academic status, and student year level classifications.

Reporting to the provost, the Registrar is responsible for the management and operations of the Registrar's Office, coordinates matters related to academic policy and procedures, State and Federal compliance, and the academic calendar. The Registrar sits on the Academic Affairs Committee, the Committee on Standards.

Responsible for making certifying students have met degree requirements, managing program requirements within the student information system,  and managing degree audits, major and minor declarations, individual majors and minors, and change of advisor. The Associate Registrar sits on the Individual Majors Committee.
