Reunion is a momentous occasion to celebrate the proud traditions of Hobart and William Smith. Reunion Weekend offers a unique opportunity to reconnect with classmates and friends, engage with the HWS community, and experience campus life today. You can make your Reunion experience even more meaningful by serving as a Reunion volunteer.

2025 Reunion Committees

There are two volunteer roles where alumni can contribute to the Reunion Weekend efforts. 

Reunion Co-Chair Volunteer

The HWS Reunion Committee plays a crucial role in supporting Reunion fundraising and attendance goals, working closely with the Colleges' Annual Giving and Alumni Relations teams. As a Reunion Chairperson, you will help recruit the Reunion Committee, take leadership on conference calls and present the Class Gift during Reunion.

  • Promote philanthropy by making a personal gift to The Colleges and encourage classmates to do the same.
  • Engage in personal outreach to support Reunion fundraising efforts.
  • Participate in Reunion planning meetings.
  • Inspire classmates to attend Reunion and participate in Reunion Weekend activities.
  • Maintain regular communication with the HWS staff liaison to stay updated on the Colleges' news and events. 

Reunion Committee Volunteer

As a Reunion Volunteer, you are an integral part of our team, ensuring the success of your class's Reunion fundraising and participation goals. You will work with the Colleges to pledge your financial support to HWS, inspire gifts from your classmates, and encourage attendance at Reunion.

  • Assist in Reunion fundraising efforts by engaging in personal outreach to classmates via mail, email, and phone calls.
  • Inspire classmates to make special gifts to the Colleges during Reunion and encourage their participation in Reunion Weekend activities on campus.
  • Collaborate with the Annual Giving team to coordinate outreach strategies and achieve fundraising goals.
  • Attend Reunion planning meetings and contribute ideas to enhance the overall Reunion experience
